Internet break through?

Post by IRT Flag on Sun Nov 04, 2012 7:05 pm

So most of you know that I have and still are having problems with my internet, caused a few problems before, almost 2 weeks ago in the XPLR open. We have Wireless internet which works where a signal is sent from HQ, to a mast, that signal is then bounced to all the other masts, like radio and phone signals, just at a different Frequency. We had it installed about feb time, and was working great until the leaves grew back on the tree's destroying our signal.

Long story short, this has been a problem since april and grandad has been battling to get better internet, last week we managed to get them to agree to put our own private mast in our garden, (3 acres so it isn't to bad). Which on paper sounds absoloutly awesome. 24MB download and upload, and no one else ever using that mast. they are doing their last checks on monday and will be putting it up sometime over the next 2 weeks, the mast isn;t 200ft high like the others, more like 50 ft, but its enough to clear the tree's and the recent surveys they've been doing suggests exactly that.

so with a bit of luck i will be able to play 1080p por... uhh, youtube videos all day!!!!

Good stuff dude. Are you gonna paint it green and blue so it blends in with the background? Mind you, the engineer might have trouble finding it if he needs to come round
